That's The One alternative

A That's The One alternative for wedding planners.

That's The One is wedding planning software for planners, much like Kruspin: guests, seating, timelines and a client portal. It adds e-signed contracts and hotel bookings at live rates. Kruspin assigns rooms night by night and gives the kitchen, service and front desk their own documents.

Rooming list by night and guest assignment with table numbers
Main House 08 by night on a phone: 3 of 4 beds occupied on Friday, 4 of 4 on Saturday, Alice Carter for Saturday only
From the sample wedding that comes with every new account.

The short answer

Choose by the work you do most.

Kruspin fits if you

  • put guests in specific rooms night by night and send the front desk the list
  • want the kitchen, servers and front desk to get their own documents, not only a timeline
  • run weddings at a venue with an in-house kitchen and front desk
  • already have a tool for contracts

Not built for proposals, e-signatures or hotel booking

That's The One fits if you

  • want proposals and e-signed contracts next to planning
  • want guests to book hotel rooms at live rates from the wedding website
  • send save-the-dates and e-cards from the same tool

How we checked

We read each company's public homepage, feature, pricing and help pages on November 3, 2026. “Not listed” means we didn't find the feature there, not that it's missing from the product. Features change, so check their sites too. If you work at one of these companies and something here is wrong or out of date, write to [email protected] and we'll correct it. Day to day

What you stop doing by hand.

  1. 01Rooms

    Rooms assigned night by night.

Friday arrivals and Saturday stays are planned separately. The front desk gets an alphabetical list with every guest's room for each night, including who changes rooms.

Main House 08 by night on a phone: 3 of 4 beds occupied on Friday, 4 of 4 on Saturday, Alice Carter for Saturday only
  2. 02Vendors

Every vendor gets their own version of the day.

The DJ's copy has the shared schedule plus the DJ's own cues. Servers get the table map with seat numbers and each guest's meal. Send it as a PDF or a link.

Service document: table map with guest names, seat numbers and meal colors
DJ timeline on a phone: gray items without the DJ and the 12:15 sound check with DJ James Bennett
  3. 03The couple

The couple adds guests and asks questions in the wedding you plan.

Each question sits next to the item it's about. Your internal threads and tasks stay with your team.

Communication for Emily & James's wedding: client questions, coordination replies and a message linked to the wet-weather ceremony plan in the timeline
Client communication: at the Wet-weather ceremony plan item, Emily Carter asks when the decision to move to the barn will be made, with a reply giving check times

Switching

Move one wedding first.

  1. Start with your next booked wedding

Finish the weddings already in progress where they are. The two tools don't sync.

  2. Upload the guest list

Export it as CSV or Excel, upload it and match the columns in the preview.

  3. Invite the couple when you're ready

They add guests and responses themselves.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about switching from That's The One.

Didn't find your answer? Write to us through support.

How is Kruspin different from That's The One?

They overlap a lot: guests, RSVP, seating, timelines, moodboards and a client portal. That's The One adds proposals, e-signed contracts and hotel bookings at live rates. Kruspin adds rooms assigned night by night with a front desk list, and documents for the kitchen, service and front desk built from the same guest list.

Does Kruspin handle contracts and payments?

No. Kruspin tracks the budget, vendor deposits and a payment plan, but it doesn't send contracts for e-signature, issue invoices or take card payments. Keep the tool you use for that today.

Can I bring guest lists from That's The One?

Yes, if your current tool or spreadsheet exports them. Upload a CSV or XLSX file, or paste rows, and match the columns in the preview. It's a one-time import; nothing syncs back.

Can my couples log in?

Yes. Invite them by email when you want them to add guests and responses themselves. They work in the same wedding, without your internal threads and tasks, and they can see the budget but not change prices or payments.

What happens after I create an account?

Your account opens with a sample wedding that already has guests, a seating chart, rooms and vendor documents, so you can try things before you set up your own.
